Representation and Advocacy
AIA’s international management committees play a vital role in advancing the Association’s presence and influence within the global accounting profession. The Greek Branch, established in 2008, is a key part of this network, representing the interests of AIA members across the region.
The committee serves as a strong voice for members, ensuring their concerns, needs, and perspectives are reflected in policymaking, regulatory developments, and industry discussions. It actively engages with government bodies and local professional organisations to promote recognition of the AIA Professional Qualification and to strengthen the Association’s reputation in Greece.
In addition to advocacy, the committee provides expert guidance to AIA on local technical consultations and regulatory matters. By staying informed on developments in the accounting landscape and maintaining close ties with national professional bodies, the committee supports knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the promotion of best practice.
The Greek Branch also plays a key role in delivering services and support to members. It contributes to AIA’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, helping ensure members have access to high-quality learning opportunities throughout their careers. The committee works closely with local educational institutions to create pathways for professional advancement and to support the next generation of accounting professionals.
Beyond education, the committee fosters a strong sense of community by encouraging peer networking and organising social events. These activities help members connect, share ideas, and build lasting professional relationships.

Education and Networking
The Greek Branch plays an active role in supporting AIA members through education, networking, and professional development.
The committee contributes to AIA’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, helping ensure members have access to high-quality learning opportunities that support lifelong growth. It also builds strong relationships with local educational institutions, creating opportunities for members to enhance their qualifications and supporting pathways for aspiring professionals to enter the field.
To strengthen these efforts, the committee includes members from two of AIA’s valued partner institutions:
The The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), founded in 1837, is the oldest higher education institution in Greece. As a self-governed legal entity under the oversight of the Ministry of Education and Religion, NKUA is one of the largest universities in Europe by enrolment and plays a key role in shaping academic and professional standards in the region.
Epsilon Net SA, established in 1999, combines educational expertise with practical knowledge tailored to the financial sector. As a certified Level 2 Lifelong Learning Training Centre, Epsilon Net is a leader in vocational education, offering modern training programmes, recognised postgraduate studies, and certified professional qualifications.
In addition to its educational focus, the committee fosters a strong sense of community by organising social events. These gatherings promote informal networking, encourage camaraderie among members, and help build lasting professional relationships within the AIA network.
