Andreas Demetroulopoulos is a seasoned financial services professional with expertise in investment banking, taxation, and public asset management. He brings nearly two decades of experience to his role on the AIA Greece Management Committee, where he helps shape strategic direction and supports the professional development of AIA members in the region.
Andreas is currently a Management Accountant at the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), a government-owned organisation responsible for managing and developing state assets to attract investment and support Greece’s economic growth. His role involves financial planning, reporting, and contributing to the fund’s strategic asset development initiatives.
Previously, Andreas worked at the Investment Bank of Greece, which later became Optima Bank, where he held roles as a Tax Advisor and Investment Banker. His work focused on corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and client advisory services in a fast-evolving financial landscape.
He is the Co-founder of a financial and accounting firm, further demonstrating his entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to advancing the profession. Andreas holds a BA in Business Studies and is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC), in addition to his AIA Fellowship.
His professional credentials include Type C Portfolio Management accreditation from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and Advanced Level certification from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, underscoring his expertise in investment and regulatory frameworks.
Andreas’ experience in both government and private sectors allows him to offer strategic insight on economic policy, member development, and regulatory trends, helping the Committee align its initiatives with the evolving needs of finance professionals in Greece.
