William Ho is a respected leader in international accounting and corporate governance. He served two terms as President of the AIA Hong Kong Branch, from 2007 to 2010 and again from 2018 to 2022. His leadership focused on enhancing member services and promoting accounting careers to students across Hong Kong.
William began his career at Philips Hong Kong Limited, where he spent 12 years in various accounting roles. In 1983, he joined VTech Holdings Limited as Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, later becoming a Board Director. Over two decades, he led key functions including finance, internal audit, IT, HR, corporate communications, and investor relations.
In 1977, William founded his own public accountancy practice, now known as Ho & Lam CPA Limited. Today, he serves as a Consultant, offering strategic guidance based on decades of experience.
On the AIA Hong Kong Management Committee, William continues to provide expert advice on regulatory developments and technical consultations. His broad experience helps the committee advocate effectively for members and maintain high professional standards.
William is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and several other professional bodies. His qualifications and leadership have earned him recognition across the accounting profession.
Through his work with AIA, William fosters collaboration between professionals, educators, and regulators. His contributions ensure that AIA members benefit from informed representation, strategic insight, and continued professional development.
