Globally Recognised and Professionally Regulated

AIA is a Recognised Qualifying Body (RQB) for statutory auditors under the UK Companies Act 2006, regulated by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC). In Ireland, AIA is a Prescribed Body under the Companies (Auditing and Accounting) Act 2014, regulated by the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA). These regulatory recognitions reflect AIA’s commitment to delivering qualifications that meet the highest professional standards, ensuring our members are trusted and respected across the accountancy profession.

Independent Benchmarking for Global Clarity

To support international recognition, AIA’s professional qualification has been independently assessed by UK ENIC, the UK’s National Information Centre for global qualifications and skills. The qualification was benchmarked as comparable to Level 7 on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), equivalent to a master’s degree level. This independent validation confirms the academic rigour and professional relevance of AIA’s programmes, helping employers and institutions worldwide understand their value and standing.

Transparent Evaluation and International Mapping

The benchmarking process reviewed key aspects of the qualification, including entry requirements, programme structure and duration, learning outcomes, assessment methods, and career relevance. In addition to UK ENIC’s assessment, AIA has published an independent review mapping its qualification against several international education frameworks. These include the Malaysian Qualifications Framework, the Indian National Skills Qualifications Framework, the QF Emirates, and the framework used in the People’s Republic of China. This mapping ensures clarity and comparability across global education systems.

International Credibility and Mobility

With both regulatory recognition and independent benchmarking, AIA qualifications are respected across borders and trusted by employers worldwide. This global credibility supports career mobility, allowing qualified professionals to pursue opportunities in diverse markets with confidence. Whether working in the UK, Ireland, or internationally, AIA members benefit from a qualification that is academically robust, professionally recognised, and aligned with global standards.

Uncompromising Quality Assurance

AIA’s qualifications are supported by a rigorous quality assurance framework. Oversight is provided by the Chief Examiner and Exams Board, alongside a team of moderators, examiners, test sitters, and e-tutors. The Qualifications Committee holds ultimate responsibility at board level, ensuring all academic appointments are reviewed annually and meet the highest standards.

Integrity in Assessment and Delivery

Examiners are responsible for updating syllabuses and preparing question papers, model answers, and marking schemes. Moderators ensure consistency and quality across related papers. After each exam session, the Chief Examiner and moderators evaluate candidate performance, standards, and pass rates to maintain excellence in assessment.

Flexible, Secure Assessment and Learning

AIA delivers all exams through a secure online platform powered by Rogo, combining advanced data protection with both automated and live human invigilation. This ensures exam integrity while providing students with real-time technical support and a seamless assessment experience.

Complementing this, the AIA Achieve Academy offers a fully integrated online learning environment developed with BPP Learning Media.
