Direct Membership
Full AIA membership is a globally recognised mark of professional status in accounting and finance. It shows that you meet the highest standards of education, experience, ethics, regulatory compliance, and ongoing professional development.
It also signals to employers and clients that you’re accountable to AIA’s professional standards and subject to disciplinary procedures if needed.
AIA offers two levels of full membership, Associate (AAIA) and Fellow (FAIA), with direct entry available on a like-for-like basis, depending on your qualifications and experience.
Who can apply?
If you are a member of another professional body, working in the accountancy sector and have a proven track record of experience, you may be eligible for direct membership of the AIA. You may also qualify through the European Communities (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) Directive or one of AIA’s mutual recognition and reciprocal agreements with a number of IFAC member bodies.
