Hugh McCormack
Hugh McCormack is a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor based in the Republic of Ireland. He founded and manages a successful accountancy practice that serves a wide range of clients. With decades of experience, Hugh offers expert advice to businesses at all levels, helping them navigate financial, regulatory, and strategic challenges.
He began his career training with Craig Gardner, one of the former ‘Big 5’ auditing firms. There, he built a strong foundation in auditing, financial accounting, and taxation. Over time, he developed a reputation for his practical approach and deep understanding of financial oversight. Today, he continues to apply this expertise across multiple sectors.
In addition to running his practice, Hugh holds directorships in several companies, including Red Panel Limited, Cable Logistic Limited, Carona Lettings Unlimited Company, and HMC Audit Limited. These roles reflect his broad experience and commitment to sound financial governance.
Hugh plays an active role within the Association, as a Council member, he contributes to the organisation’s strategic direction and governance. He also serves on the Applications Committee and the Finance Committee, where he helps shape policies that support professional standards and member engagement.
He is passionate about representing AIA members in Ireland. Through his work, he ensures their voices are heard and their interests protected. He advocates for high standards, ethical practice, and continued professional development.
