Singapore Management Committee

Supporting and representing AIA members in Singapore through advocacy, development, and connection

The Singapore Management Committee supports and represents AIA members across one of Asia’s leading financial and business centres. Since its establishment in 1975, the committee has played a key role in promoting professional standards, strengthening industry connections, and enhancing the visibility of the AIA Professional Qualification. Through its work, it helps ensure members in Singapore remain informed, connected, and well positioned to succeed in a dynamic accounting profession.

Representation and Advocacy

The Singapore Management Committee plays a central role in strengthening AIA’s presence and influence across the region. Established in 1975, it builds on a long-standing history of representation and has supported members in Singapore for nearly five decades. The committee actively advocates for AIA members, ensuring their perspectives inform policymaking, regulatory developments, and wider industry discussions, while helping to shape a professional environment that reflects their needs and supports the values of the Association.

Professional Influence and Partnerships

The committee builds and maintains strong relationships with government bodies, regulators, and professional organisations, reinforcing recognition of the AIA Professional Qualification and enhancing the Association’s reputation in Singapore and across the wider region. It contributes directly to technical consultations and regulatory matters, providing informed insight and ensuring AIA maintains a respected voice within the profession. Through this work, the committee promotes collaboration, supports best practice, and keeps members connected to developments in the accounting landscape.

Education and Community Engagement

Alongside its advocacy work, the committee actively supports members’ professional development and community engagement. It contributes to Continuing Professional Development programmes, helping members strengthen their skills and remain competitive in a dynamic profession, while also working with local educational institutions to support progression and entry into accountancy. Through networking opportunities and social events, the committee brings members together to exchange ideas, build relationships, and foster a strong and connected AIA community in Singapore.
