Catherine Brennan

Catherine Brennan is an experienced finance professional with expertise spanning both industry and practice. She brings a strong blend of technical knowledge, practical insight, and a commitment to professional excellence to the AIA Ireland Management Committee.

Catherine graduated with First-Class Honours in Accountancy from Carlow IT and later completed a Master’s in Finance at Waterford IT. She also holds a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards and is currently pursuing certification as a Tax Advisor. Her academic achievements reflect a dedication to continuous learning and professional development.

Throughout her career, Catherine has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including transport, food production, hospitality, and construction. Her roles have included Business Unit Accountant at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail, Finance Manager at Rail Gourmet Group, and positions at Glanbia Co-Op Society and other Irish enterprises. This broad experience has deepened her expertise in financial reporting, management accounting, payroll, and taxation.

Catherine’s practical approach and strong communication skills make her a trusted advisor and valued committee member. Her presence on the committee enhances AIA’s ability to respond to industry developments and deliver meaningful support to its members across Ireland.
